Artist Collaboration with Unabashed Apparel!
1 comments Posted by Lia @ Bullfinch and Barbury at 10:47 AMPoor, neglected blog! Here's a post that should reflect how I've been spending my time (because it's probably too clear that those extra hours haven't been devoted to writing on here)! Just in time for Autumn, I was invited to create some new bangles to pair with a line of Fall fashions from Unabashed Apparel.
Circe Crossover Top shown in Quill paired with Nimbus Skirt shown in Heron / Citron Spice Bangle Set
Circe Crossover Top shown in Smoke / Ribbon Candy Bangle Set The images of this Autumn line are laced with a gilded type of Gothic beauty - and a haunting touch of mystery. So perfectly suited for the time of year and my personal favorite of all the holidays: Hallowe'en! When described to me, Sarahbeth summed up her vision as:
"The general theme is a very magical - rich, saturated colored affair. I'm thinking some deep ink bottle green, midnight blue, orchid, raspberry, pumpkin - and some steel blue/grey with a bit of gilt for golden measure."

Cobblestone Pullover shown in Quill / Emerald Bangle Set
Making these bracelet sets to pair with Unabashed Apparel's Fall clothing has been such an enjoyable and inspiring project. Please take a look at our hard work - and share your thoughts here!

Here's another variation on the East Indies color scheme -- this time with a little extra saffron and marifold yellow tones as specified by Missandrony (who, by the way, rocks). I think they turned out very nicely and look good when displayed on an obliging asiatic lily.

Missandrony was in need of a color fix, so she requested a couple of sets be made to add a bit of panache to her jewelry collection. To further fuel her "jewel-toned kick", I made a set of multi-toned bracelets in the most saturated colors I could get out of my enamels.

I love this set because of it's demure shade and stately details like pastachio colored pearls, brass accents and "sgraffito" laurel branch pattern.

I just wanted to quickly thank Cysegr for being my first Etsy customer! She purchased the lovely set of East Indies bracelets that I posted a few weeks ago and is enjoying them in sunny California. I braved a pretty heavy snow storm to mail them out to her, but I'm an happy to know that the set is now in a better (warmer) place.

This past holiday, I used fresh figs in a couple of dishes an even candied them as a decoration. I think that a sliced fig has the prettiest color combination, so I used enamel to reinvent it's gorgeous tones.
This set is on my Bullfinch and Barbury Etsy shoppe -- please stop by and peruse my listings.
